Programming TPMS Sensors

Do you need to goto the dealer to get TPMS sensors reprogrammed? Is there somewhere else you can go? I just picked up a set of TPMS sensors from TireRack (less than half the price of the dealership!) and I need to get them programmed for the car.

I think in another thread somebody mentioned a device from Canadian Tire that claimed to re-program sensors. Did anybody try that?

So any tire shop can do it? I think I'm gonna get Simply Tire to do the install in the wheels for me.

So it looks like the place I am going does not program TPMS sensors. Is there anywhere I can go to get it done cheaper than at a dealership? Does anybody here have a scan tool? Almost seems like a waste of money to pay money just to scan a sensor.

Just man up and ignore the beeping sounds
Pretend it's an annoying girlfriend that yaps at you every so often. You'll develop selective hearing over time

+1 if knowing your pressure is low. Just buy a tire pressure gauge and check everytime you fill up your gas

For the cost of reprogramming at the dealership put it towards some mods for spring!

Or put Nitrogen in the tires and forget about it. But you'll still need to ignore the beeps and lights. LOL

You know what??? I didn't ask... but that better be the TOTAL price. If it's $200... I'm gonna buy the tool myself. I think a TPMS reset tool is around $300.
