I'm getting both 264. I read that it is harder to tune with 264/272........ I haven't placed my order yet, and no I'm not buying cam gears (for now).

Man, all this 272 bashing. I suppose if you stay with the stock turbo 264's may be a better way to go: IF that was the last performance mod you were ever going to do. Or am I the only one here who has dreams of bolting on a Garret GT3Gazzillion and driving down the Interstate flipping off every Supra in the sunshine state?!

Sorry, I will return to my padded cell now.

That's true about going aftermarket turbo. I assumed with an otherwise stock type setup. The stock turbo is poopy over 7K which is where 272s shine compared to 264s.

You have to mod with a purpose or to a common goal. You don't install half lowend torque parts and half high RPM HP parts because instead of getting the best of both worlds, you wind up getting a huge compromise and the worst of both worlds. Personally, if I ever change the turbo, it will be to the 6.5 TME. Not a big enough change to warrant 272s.

i would say 264 for street, 272 for track. i go for the 264 route because i wanted the mid range torque for the street!!
