this is the inconsistency that I cant understand. It seems as if its up to the dealership on what they will cover and what they will not cover. I thought that it was up to mits.

Tranny

Listen, Im not sure what the deal is with the different dealers. All I know is that I just got my car done and I had no trouble or issues at all. With my after market parts on and all the car was serviced with no questions asked.

All I can say is thank goodness for recalls!!!!!!!

When I get home I will check my receipt and see if they put a code or something that would say anything about the recall.
Ill be back later.

Ok, here is what the dealer put on the receipt-

Internal defect in Transmission
Transmission assembly overhaul #22201020.

They overhauled the following-
1 MR581385 Ring Assy, M/T 2nd speed
1 MD748058 Ring M/T Synch
1 MR581388 Sleeve, M/T 3rd & 4th Synch
1 MD770348 Ring Assy, M/T 3rd Speed
2 MR581389 Spring, M/T Synch Key
1 MN168859 Sleeve M/T 5th & Rev Synch
1 MR581382 Ring M/T Synch
2 MR581383 Spring M/T Synch Key
1 MN168934 Ring Assy, M/T Rev Gear
1 MD997740 Liquid Gasket, M/T
2 A991zc2x01 Lube gear, Diamond 5G

C0409zxx Fan controller

This is exactly what was was done on my car for the tranny recall. Not sure what the fan thing is but I guess I got that also.

So there you go, its all in black and white. I hope this helps!!!!!!!!!

Don't know if your car is an '03, but there was a recall on the fan controller on all '03s built before 7/03 or
something like that. Looks like they tossed that on as long as the car was there.

My synchros are being redone under warranty right now. The tech asked if I wanted to change my clutch for free of charge, I said no I rather trust my friend who can do it for a couple of beers

They will probably cover the synchros under warranty if changed out your clutch. Engine mods are probably fine though.

I'm having the synchros changed under warrenty on my 04. Thinking about having them put in a ACT Street Clutch - except it's a bit expensive. Is the ACT a good $500 investment?
Nice to hear new synchros make a big difference.

I brought my car in two weeks ago. They are going to give me a transmission rebuild. My car would not go into reverse. The only thing that I am pissed off about , is the fact they are taking their sweet time fixing the car.
