I am sorry but it just makes me angry that a owner of a business is asking for money. I would understand if there was someone tragically killed but with breast cancer you have time to prepare for it. There is probably not any young kids being 41. I was very close to three different women that died of breast cancer so do not think i am heartless. I understand the struggle, and hardship on everyone close.
I looks like Keith or Manny missed part of the obit when it was posted. I didn't ask them to do it but I appreciate the gesture.
This was the last line of her obit:
Per Tracy's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jason Hill College Scholarship Fund, c/o TD Bank, attn: Mr. Harrie Copeland, 1 Royal Road, Flemington, NJ 08822.
My family has lost several people recently and many of them have requested to have donations made to some of the non-profit orginazations my wife has been associated with instead of flowers. It's been very touching and I appreciate it more than you can imagine.
My wife has never really enjoyed flowers and I asumed we'd be doing the same thing for her service today. We spoke shortly before she passed and she requested that if people insisted on doing something, they could donate to my 9 year old son Jason's 529 college fund instead. I thought it was a little out of line but I talked to the funeral director and the person at the bank and they both assured me that it's a very common request with young families these days. So, I don't really expect many to it that but it just proves that she was thinking about my sons future during the last days of her life. She was selfless to the end I had to honor her request.
Sorry for your losses as well. You know how tough it can be.
Jeff

I prayed for you all to stay strong. I also said a special prayer for Jason.
I just started the blog and wow what a journey you all have been on. I flooded my keyboard with tears. I feel like I know you guys. I raised my son Daniel as a single dad from age six. He is 18 now and I won't sugar coat it...it is tough. KEEP GOING and I will have you all in my heart and prayers.

Jason is an AMAZING kid. Jeff is very lucky to have such a wonderful son....and on the other hand Jason is also lucky to have a Dad like Jeff.
My thoughts, love, and prayers go out to Jeff, Jason, the Pleva family, and most of all Tracy.
To Jeff and Jason:
“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”
And we will be with you every step of the way.

Jeff,
Please accept my deepest condolences on behalf of the entire Evom staff. There are no words that can express the loss of a loving wife and one hell of a fighter. I was made aware of her battle several years ago at one of the E-Town events . I feel we should measure people on how they lived, not died, so please take comfort in the number people whose lives she touched so positively.
I'm well aware of the time and emotional capital that is unselfishly given by a caregiver, particularly by a husband whose wife is fighting breast cancer. It is now your time to reflect and take a deep breath.
Best Regards,
Bob..
