I wanna hit the lotto so I can send all the little Buschur kids to good colleges.

I keep telling them that I think they keep coming up with new parts in the hopes of keeping me broke and they think I just say it to be funny.

If anyone wants to buy a kidney let me know. My tranny whines in 1st and 2nd and I need to get this service done this winter. Only lightly used. Original owner.

+1 on the gear upgrade.

This is the best trans for the mony hands down

I just ran to the bank, as I have not driven my car but 3 miles since the shoot-out and I was just thinking while driving it how FREAKIN smooth it still is with 30+ pass's this year and not to mention all the light night racing, even with this cold weather it is stupid awsome.... STILL!

I hit it in 1 slammed it into 2 and then 3 coming back. All I could think was DA*N

Its going back to Dan this winter just to freshin up for 08. When the stage 3 block and head is installed at Buschurs

i noticed on the website, that there is an option for an upgraded 5th gear that has a ratio of .76

When or why would you recommend this mod?

Really, I guess that would be nice....I mean, the EVO 8 gearbox is sufficient in drag racing from 1-4th gears, then the 5th is nice for chasing down he European top end cars, I guess at speeds of 160-175 MPH??

I have seen 171 in mine soooooooo, I am guessing 180+

BTW... this 5th gear convertion is for a IX. Cause we have shorter 5th's that you VIII guys. I was gonna get it when Dan did mine, but I didnt think it was nesscary.

We got an used VIII in at work and when I finished inspecting it. I noticed the rpm's at 45mph were at 2k... I tach out at about 2200 on my IX.

the mod list looks more like a rebuild than an upgrade...is the stock transmission just good enough that it doesn't need much help?

I've been beating on mine for 60k miles (05 evo 5-speed with acd) and haven't had a single problem so my thinking is to leave it alone until I have a problem. Anyone with me on that line of thought or is that foolish?

I beleive its only an upgrade to 03s and some 04s. There was a TSB for revised sleeves on certain vins.

I dont beleive the Evo need alot upgrades. Just refreshing now and again as they wear. A Stage 4 Shep tranny for a DSM has factory EvoIII gear clusters in them, the correct 3/4 fork from an Evo or certain 91 AWDs and center diff gears that have tgo match.

I would refresh since its already gonna be out. I would suck to have to pull the trans out right after you put in the BR shorty!

It is not just a rebuild Chris. The tranny is totally gone through and setup the way it should have been. There is also cry treating available as well as other options as far as gear changes and what not. We cant give out all the secrets to the work ya know.

For more in depth info I recommend everyone to contact Daniel directly and speak with him as he is the one who does all the tranny work.

This is also the same tranny that is ran in our 8sec drag car, David's low 9sec RS and the slew of other 9sec & 10sec cars that we build.
