PPI brings you a quality boost leak tester!

It seems that everyone I have met, if they do any of there own wrenching at all, has cobbled together some form of hardware store special boost leak tester including myself

I decided to change this with a simple yet well thought out boost leak tester with some added features!

Our tester is made with a 4ply silicone coupler and comes with 2 t/bolt clamps to make sure you have a good connection to your turbo. We then took the boost leak tester to another level by adding a pressure gauge with a relief valve. Now you don't have to have someone watching your boost gauge from inside the car too see if pressure is dropping. The gauge on the tester will tell you exactly what is going on so you can easily read how much air you put into the system. The relief valve is a important feature to depressurize the system safely. These are $49.95 plus shipping. http://www.paradigmperformance.net/p...boostleak.html

I will let the picture do the talking

Thought I would use our blue PPI shirt for a little backdrop and show off our cool PPI gear

As the above guy said, one you can plug in the stock intake pipe (after removing the airbox and MAF) would be great. I don't think there are any on the market that fit here perfectly. That would save you from needing to remove the intake pipe and messing with the BOV . . .

If I remember correctly from tying to build one like that - PVC does not come in the proper OD . . . so it is difficult to build one from Home Depot supplies. . .

Wayne - when you get a change get back to me on the spark plug cover idea. . .

Right now I only have them in 2.5" If there was enough demand I could make 3" or 4" testers. The larger diameter material would make it slightly more expensive. I thought this would work best for most people with a MAF or like me without one

I sent you a email EVOlutionary

PPI,

Nice tester, but the price is outrageous. Give me a really good reason why this thing costs $50, yet looks like it has about $20 worth of parts in it.

I've put together a getto rig before. It cost me about $20 bucks for the parts, an hour to put together, and another hour to fix leaks due to my poor construction. Mine did not have the gauge on the tester so I had to constantly stop filling to climb in the car and check my boost gauge.
All in all, it is worth $50 to get a quality tester.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

There is more than $20 in parts that is for sure. I think most will agree that its worth it for a quality product . As stated above there is drilling, tapping and some other machining then final assembly- not a alot but it all adds up at the end of a day.
Cheers
