New Vendor: Spark Tech.. now on evoM!
#17
Hi,
It's great to hear from another satisfied customer. The new year has gotten off to a fast start and although it's been hectic it's been lots of fun and we've made lots of new friends world wide. We've been working very hard to bring our customers the latest and simply the best engineered ignition available for the evo's. Although it's not related to this forum we are also in the development stages of a coil on plug system for Honda/Acura applications.
Thanks for the welcome and we look forward to working with you again

Hi,
We recently finished a 2800mile road trip with the Spark Tech evo with stock ecu and our ignition. We took a scanner with us in case we needed to look up and clear codes and never had to use it as the light never came on.
We have done some testing with the factory coils and have came to the conclusion that the springs in the boots need to be lengthened a little. You can do so by pulling on them with a small pair of needle nose pliers. Over time these springs get compressed and don't make good contact with the tops of the plugs. This is the cause of code p300 most of the times. Over time this will also be a problem on any coil on plug system. You can purchase a tune up kit for your system from us for less than $20.00 which includes new rubber boots and springs.

i wanted to see the max gap on 25/26psi when i was on my old setup and i got .033 befor 1 single brake up. i backed it off to .031 and never had issues. i run .031 daily. this is the system to have. all day every day

It's good to see customers pushing our systems to the limits. There are 2 ways we can wire these...HIGH POWER MODE or MULTISPARK. You have to choose one, both features can't be enabled at the same time. I personally recommend multispark for daily driven cars and high power for drag or lots of boost...and Paul yes 55psi is LOTS OF BOOST
CBRD will be testing one of our systems on a real sweet evo that belongs to one of their customers. We'll get Chad to test and give us dyno sheets for both high power and multi-spark mode and pass the results onto everyone.

Hey Paul....you gotta get to polishing like evodan....not to steal someone elses quote but you need to do less typing and more polishing hell u polish your bearings in 26seconds...now lets see how fast u can remove the coils and polish the mounting plate. Don't forget though the new billet plates are coming soon and one of them has got your name on it
