GSC’s Beehive Valve Spring kit’s for all of the 4G63

After some time spent on the Spintron and some private high rpm testing; GSC is proud to release its own Beehive spring and retainer kit for the 4G63....

GSC Power-Division Beehive springs feature some of the most impressive manufacturing techniques in the industry. Our beehive spring uses an ovate wire which utilizes advanced material heat treatment methods for superior load loss capabilities. What this means to you is our spring has the highest level of spring load retention while still maintaining good fatigue threw out the life of the spring. The retainer side of the valve spring has a smaller diameter to greatly reduce coil spring surging and improve valve control even at extreme rpm levels.

Only the best materials go into the GSC Power-Division Beehive valve springs. Each batch is scrutinized for tensile strength properties, ductility, inclusion content, and fatigue toughness. Each new design is tested and given a rev range for use with GSC camshafts.

The GSC Beehive springs are available in 3 different retainer and spring seat options

Part number 5041 includes new 4340 Chro-molly spring seats (these won't crack like others aluminum seats) and GSC’s Titanium Retainer set. This kit is capable of 11000RPMS, with as much as 12.5mm of lift (or .285" of camlift). This is a must have for anyone pushing the limits. If you have had problems with valve float or throwing rocker arms this is the spring set that will cure your problems for good...

Spring pressure:
Seat at 1.46"= 95 pounds
.300"= 200 pounds
.400"= 250 pounds
CoilBind .560"

Part number 5040 includes new Titanium Retainer set and will utilities the stock oem seat, this is a simple change with no need to change seals or spring seats. This kit is capable of 9500RPMS, with as much as 12.5mm of lift (or .285" of camlift). This is a must have for anyone pushing the limits but on less aggressive camshafts such as the S1 on road racing setups or S2 all setups.

Spring pressure:
Seat at 1.54"= 75 pounds
.300"= 170 pounds
.400"= 220 pounds
CoilBind .620"
Max lift 12.5mm of lift (or .285" of camlift)

Part number 5039 includes a set of GSC Beehive Springs for use on the stock seat and OEM retainer. This kit is capable of 8500RPMS (or south of 9k), with as much as 11.4mm of lift (or .259" of camlift). These are designed as a drop in spring to use with the S2 camshaft set.

Spring pressure:
Seat at 1.56"= 68pounds
.300"= 160 pounds
.400"= 210 pounds
CoilBind .625"
Max lift 11.4mmof lift (or .259" of camlift)

Great looking products Greg. We especially like your decision on using chromoly instead of brittle aluminum like some of the competition.

The Beehive is better do to a couple of reasons. A more consist spring rate as lift increases, lower seat pressure with higher rate, better frequencies, more stable at higher RPM. Less weight compared to dual springs. The biggest thing is return rate when the spring is compressed and returned to seated height, less likely to float... beehive springs are the new generation in technology...

Pricing for these is below
5039 $227.05
5040 $398.05
5041 $445.55

i would suggest going to the ti retainer to be safe, i'm not sure what those cams look like or how nice they play with valvetrain..

11.00mm lift on the intake and exhaust. Don't have a cam card on me at the moment.
