I changed my oil today with amsoil in my Evolution IX, and after I drained the oil, cranked the engine, and put in four gallons I was already at or very near the full mark.
I drove around with it as well, and let it cool for a little and checked, and it was still at that mark.
Any suggestions? I'm pretty sure I drained everything properly....

i had this happen with my IX and mobil 1 as well. i dont know what it was. the only diference was that i had used individual quarts instead of the 5 qt container. dont know what to tell you maybe there was something left in it.

Did you change the oil filter remember the filter takes a bit of oil. the Evo's take 4.7 quarts of oil, We just pour the 5 quarts of oil in there and call it a day.

let me know if you need anythig or have any more ???
