gas has dropped so shipping should also drop. Wonder why prices keep getting jacked up? Temporarily sales may increase, but with more and more people unwilling to spend $ its just going to screw up this niche market as well, where products remain the same, yet costs increasingly go up. my .2$

Very true but another factor is the currency exchange. The dollar is weak and it sucks for us. Hopefully prices will come down. $1200+ for headlights and taillights only really hurt the pocket and is so high. I'd like to wait to see if it will go under $1000 so I can buy. Wishful thinking

People are completely unaware that these come from Japan. Exchange rates directly reflect price increases. Back last year we were buying items at 1 USD to 115 Yen. Now its dropped to 1 USD to 89 YEN. To give you a better idea of how huge that is in Japan's favor, take a look at the following:
Items that are 5000 YEN used to cost us around $43.00 USD. Now 5000 YEN direct converts to $56.00 USD. Thats almost a 30% increase in our rates. This is why almost every JDM item has gone up in price.
