AMS Delrin Shift knob as seen in the Blue Demon Project

Many of you have been posting and PMing us if whether or not the shift knob seen in the blue demon thread will be something that can be purchased. The answer is YES! A few weeks back we put the wheels in motion to make an AMS delrin shift knob for the EVO VIII/IX and X.

Delrin is a great material to make a shift knob out of as it is very resilient, has a good weight to it and most importantly doesn't transfer heat nearly as bad as a say a metal based shift knob. We toyed with the idea of the white knob but for fear of it discoloring from dirt over time we settled on a black unit.

Right now we are finalizing the color of the logo but I thought I would toss up some current pictures so everyone can get a look at where are at so far. The final units should be here in about three weeks. Feel free to also let us know what color you would like the AMS logo on the knob. We are very open to ideas and opinions

Here is where we are at so far....sorry for the bad pics. Rich is out of town right now so you are stuck with my crappy camera skills lol

let know what color you would like to see the AMS logo in the poll attached

Eric

i think a darker shade of black would look sick. Subtle and clean.

The problem with the white is that over time it stains and discolors.

I think AMS machined 1 time on the top would look best. Maybe color coded to match the different colors of Evo's. If only 1 color I'd suggest silver.

Someone brought up the idea here of a gloss black AMS logo against the flat black of the knob.

yeah to many AMS logos but other than that sweet! I second the black lettering on the black. Also how much does it weight and how much.

I think that would look the best in my opinion, a little more subtle but you still have the logo on there.

I read the post also. I don't care about the white staining........still want the white. Isn't the normal color of Delrin white?

I don't plan on going to car shows, stained shifter won't bug me.
