Our RPM range at the track was 6500-8500, 7000-9000 and 7500-9500 on each of the turbo setups. The stocker begins to bail out around 6500 where the W2.3+ just begins doing it's work. The operating range is the key.
I understand...I was just referring to cars say without built motors maybe only reving to 8k at most...or motors with just a mild cam setup and headstuds...and maybe even stock turbo cars...Which I'm sure with those setups you will still see some nice gains...

06 we are running a standard W2 on mild daily driven 8 down in Florida. Cwill did a basic tune and the car will be used to test various new products. We are developing a basic ported intake now that I will run later this year. Indy

Now this is what I will be very excited to see come down the pike!

I am building a long rod, high deck, 2.2l stroker that will see lots of back road bullying with an FP Red and something not overly lumpy in the cam department, on a stock ECU (gotta keep big brother happy...). This set up will putter to the grocery store and beat up other cars for their lunch money...maybe all in the same day.

A good compromise manifold, for me, would be one that focuses on the meatiest part of the power band from 4000-4500 up towards the top end, but not be focused on the uppermost few thousand revs...hopefully your new "R&D" street manifold will fit the bill for those of us that go to a drag strip maybe once every two years.

I've got my eye on you!

edit: I didn't mean to threadjack here...The gains Wilson is able to make with a ported and in some cases internally "modified" manifold are incredible. The 9sec9 W2.3 is an incredible piece of engineering. I hope this will trickle down to the street/road course (true dual/tri purpose cars...) oriented enthusiast that operates in a wider RPM range than the dedicated drag racer.

I see a true AUTOX type manifold coming down the highway. Sounds like a well tweaked W0 to me.

Wilson Manifolds and 9sec9.com are proud to have ace tuner from Puerto Rico, Javier Monroig as a customer. He tested our W2.3+ with a true full weight street car, "I install your intake in a EVO IX 2.3L, this car run 9.23 full weight(A/C,exhaust,interiors,rear wing etc). This car work great with your manifold(previous intake was ****)", and as a result ordered two more. Welcome Team JVM (Tune:Tuned by Monroig, Shop:Colo Performance, and Driver:Roly), thanks for making the switch to Wilson Manifolds and 9sec9.com. Indy

Javier will be running the W2.3+ on his car El Diablo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Gs7RmAaBY4 along with our Diff Eliminator.

Javiers response to my email " the previous time was 9.38 but we also change for bigger turbo but with your intake turbo lag is same. I think we could run 8.9 with this car right now we are working with drive train. This car has A/C,full interiors & exteriors, full exhaust" JVM. El Tremendo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4uJMAqFHSY

It seems that switching to a larger turbo and the Wilson W2.3+ netted the same spool as a competitors intake and a smaller turbo. Amazing results for a modified stock cast intake manifold when compared to a fully fabricated intake manifold.

Javier, that's impressive. I guess you don't give up the A/C for ANYTHING?!!? That's what I call a full race street car.

We have two left of this last batch. With proven track results not just big dyno numbers this is a proven winner, and the only choice for the serious racer.

I have sent an email to the 9sec9 website about two weeks ago without response. Should I just communicate here as I sent questions concerning several parts that I'm interested in purchasing? Thanks.
