PTE has a 55mm however i am yet to see any of the Billet turbos spool any faster with smaller compressor wheels.. if you take a 55,58,60 all with 57mm turbine they spool near identical ill bet.. The turbine wheel dictates spool.. the smaller front doesnt change much if anything at all..

I assume the 5857 will be a ton safer to do 30+ psi on the stock block with versus an FP Black??
My goal ultimately is trap 130 (which should be around 550whp on a dynojet, just under 500 on a Mustang dyno) on 93+meth only, and still have some nice, safe-ish midrange power as the car is my daily driver, but the most important thing is I want to keep it safe for the stock block as far as torque. I see so many people saying the Black is so dangerous to do on stock block because of the insane amount of tq it produces at such low rpm's. Any insight Mike?? Also, PM me a price for the 5857 please!

I ordered one of these in dual ball bearing, 0.63 A/R, 5857.
Going on a JDM Evo5 in Grenada. Still on stock block with GSC S1's, hoping it will have good response considering I do not have Mivec. Not very much data on these on Evo's, besides the dyno comparison a few posts back.
mayberry, I read through your build thread and I don't think 500/500 will be a problem with this turbo on 2.4L, but with your displacement how about a 6262?
I really can't say though, will be able to give better feedback once I install everything.

I guess this turbo(5857) people use it more for time attack.

i have a subaru w/ a built 2.65l motor im running the 5857 on just a road tune and all i can say is that i love that thing. it spools quick and pulls hard. I cant wait to dyno it to see what kind of #s it will make

I'm currently doing a Full Engine Build and using this 5857 turbo as well.
Sounds like it's gonna be nasty.
I'm anxious to see how it does..
Going in
BR 2.0 motor [JE pistons, manley rods, etc.]
BR race head
Kelford 272's
Supertech dual springs/retainers
BR IM and 65mm TB
ETS 5857 Full Turbo Kit [.82 + DBB with 38mm Tial WG and Vband, etc.]
I Have everything in place, just waiting on the Turbo + parts from ETS to get Coated.
Full Build Thread coming soon..

i guess am on the same boat here..
am looking for a new Turbo for my 2.3l stroked engine, and i am confused if i should go for ETS T3 5857 Journal Bearing kit or go for the FP black.
still searching around to find my answer :/
GL guys with your builds, waiting for feedbacks :P
