The comparision of the GT35R 68mm turbine and saying it's too large and then that the 6262 has a smaller 62mm wheel is hilarious.

GT35R
Inuducer = 68mm
Exducer = 62mm

6262
Inducer = 71mm
Exducer = 62mm

They both have the same 62mm exducer diameter, the GT35R just has a higher trim making the inducer (major) diameter smaller.

I'd love to see some actual dyno data on this 5857 though...

Can this turbo be put in a Tial turbine housing with the oil cooled ceramic ball beraing CHRA?

Not an Evo, but it is some info for you. 2.2 liter Audi/VW engine and also AWD like an Evo. 23psi with stock cams on 110 octane. More boost and aftermarket cams coming soon.

Don't know about a Tial housing, but Precison has a vband in and out if that is what you are looking for.

Do you mean this is a Turbonetics turbine wheel?

From what I've managed to dig up - yes (basically an updated Garrett Stage 3 Wheel)

6262 is said to also use the Turbonetics F1 62 Wheel... (basically an updated Garrett Stage 5 Wheel)

Yeah, the best info I have been able to correlate to is that of the AMS 750R

They rate it 520-580HP with 100-200rpm later spool than a GT30R

Which makes it a nice turbo but still smaller than a GT35R

Well the numbers fit, I think, I couldn't find the inducer diameter of the Turbonetics F1 57 though. The F1 57 is used on the GTK 450 and 500 turbos. The PTE wheels look like the Tnetics - 10 blades, and kind of a thick rounded trailing edge on the turbine blades.

Can you elaborate a little bit on what info you found that says the PTE 65/57 wheel is actually the Turbonetics F1 57?
And by any chance, do you suppose these wheels have the Garrett "flying A" cast into them somewhere?

I have no hard evidence - just what some of the turbo experts say... and the word around is that the PTE uses the F1 57 and the F1 62 Turbine wheels on their turbos and also that for prodution components they are now more closely aligned to Turbonetics than Garrett... not sure if its 100% true or not.

I have also been looking for that Magic 600HP turbo that spools like a 50Trim and makes a solid 600HP and slots inbetween a 3076 and 3582 for the 2L pump gas + meth application... I have narrowed it down a handfull of turbo's: HTA3076; PTE5857; HKS GT3240R; T3/T4S 60-1; Turbonetics T3/T4E Super 60...

I'm currently testing the Turbonetics T3/T4E Super 60, on my GM 2L 16v built motor,
82mm Exd, 58mm Ind; F1 57 65mm/57mm (this wheel looks exactly like a PTE wheel)
Ceramic Ball Bearing, Water and Oil Cooled Core.

Hopefully will have it back on the dyno next weekend...
Spool on this turbo is better than the T3/T4S 60-1, I bought from ATP
my 60-1 has 76mm exd, 59mm ind; 65mm/57mm T3 Stage III exhaust wheel (like a 50trim)
Dual Steel Ballbearing, Water and Oil Cooled Core
{Yes a 60-1 is old school but it flows over 60lbs/min that cant be disputed}

5857 I am curious to see how much extra power it makes due to the Billet Spec Comp Wheel... I think As much as a 60-1 but with better spool...

03white! how could you? Might you mean the INDUCER is 62mm?

The inducer is the larger diameter on the turbine...and the smaller diameter on the compressor.

Now I'm confused... What I wrote is correct? Unless I'm just not see what I typed wrong?
Or you are being a smart *** and I've now blown the joke?

Anyway, to respond to the PTE V-band housing, yes, I know they offer one. It's not light weight and thin-wall stainless steel like the Tial housing.

The question remains, can you use a Tial housing on a PTE turbo? I realize it's not cut for the 5857 wheel, but coule the Tial GT30 housing be cut down to work with this CHRA.

Sounds crazy, I know, but I love the oil cooled center housing and billet wheel.

you could have Precision put a 30R turbine wheel with the TiAL housing on a Precision compressor wheel :P

I was saying you're wrong. :P

Again, if you look at what I typed, it is correct. You do realize I'm talking about the turbine, right?

The turbine of the GT35 and the 6262 both have 62mm exducer (minor) diameters. They have different inducer (major) diameters.
