He could not tune my car on anything higher than 23 psi on 93 octane with out unbearable surge from 5000 to 5500 rpm range. Wil l the cover on this turbo help combat that?
Again it must be related to setup.. I wouldnt use a t3 turbo without an Antisurge cover on an evo.. So yes the cover on the turbo being anti surge is designed to combat that issue.. I still find it hard to beleive a 1mm change in turbo size creates surge.. If you werent using the ported cover that may have been your issue..

Is there plans to run this in a t4 to avoid the surging issues that may be associated with any surge? I know the 6262 only comes in t3.

The 6262 doesnt only come in t3.. We have sold a few of them in t4's.. I will find out about a this turbo in t4 however i wouldnt really suggest running a 57mm wheel in a t4..

We dont have an FP red car.. it is apples to oranges but nothing close to the same power or dual ball bearing reliability..

Subscribed...cant wait to see the results. Know you said you will be installing and testing these on built motors but from you have to go on at the moment, think it would be a better stock turbo replacement, stock motor with basic bolt ons? Or is it too early to tell?

For up to 500-525whp i usually suggest the red as the powerband is impossible to beat in t3 form.. however this turbo if you think youll want 600-650hp down the road will fit the bill nicely on a stock motor until you upgrade or decide you have the ***** to make 600hp on a stock motor.. LOL
