Keep up the great work Mike
Im not sure if maybe i typed something wrong but certainly we have concerns of spool characteristics also..

The thing about it is though between the 3 turbos 58,60 and 62 choosing the turbo really is based on what PEAK HP you want to make.. What i mean by that is if a customer tells me he wants 780hp i cant suggest a 58 or 60.. it wont make the HP.. it must be 6262 and youll get the associated lag that comes with it vs. 5857..

Now if someone says i just want the best spool and only 600hp then easy choice 5857.. so really i tailor most turbo choices based on the peak HP the customer wants.. because even if it spools super quick if they are on the dyno and short 80hp they arent going to be very happy with my suggestion..

Another example is a customer looking for 800+hp.. You have 1 choice in t3.. 6765 billet.. Yes its laggy but its made 920hp so far and no other t3 on the market comes close to that..

LOL, appreciate it mike . The only reason I asked is because I was interested in doing a staged build up, since it'll be my first turbo car and didnt want to jump into big power off the bat. Looking at between 350-400whp and 350-400wtq, reasonable for a newbie you think or should i just settle for something a bit less using the stock turbo? Sorry for all the questions but I just want to do it right.

Im thinking this will be perfect for my 2.4 liter build. 500hp for daily driving and 600 hp capable when Im at the track.

The low end power of a 2.4L with this turbo would be sick..

It's a Garrett turbo with Tial compressor housing and FP comp wheel. Who cares it is besides the point.

My point is, does Precision have something that makes more power than a 35R AND spools quicker? Isn't this a natural question to ask? Seems to be the million dollar question to me.

Mike you seem really keen on promoting PT turbos. Why don't you then do a test and see if PT can beat the 35R for power and spool quicker. Would be great for the community and great marketing for PT.

Why does it matter that it is T3?

Does the 6765 do something special power curve wise when comparing to both T3 and T4 turbo kits?

Nobody is giving away free turbos my friend.. Its not in my budget to spend 3000.00 on 2 turbos to test them.. My phone rings all day long for PTE turbos.. I am confident in the products i sell.. I dont have the man power to test 3-4 turbos on and off the car and tie up the dyno.. I allow the Track results and unaltered dyno jet #'s to speak for the products..

Why does it matter?? because an open scroll T4 turbo is laggy as hell compared to the T3.. not to mention 99% of turbo kits on evos are t3 so what do i care about t4's really..

I gotcha Mike.. I understand your recommendations would be based off the wants of the customer, so peak power wanted would dictate your decision on which turbo you'd recommend. I, personally want the 500-600WHP, but not give up too much on spool up time. I was hell bent on the FP Red, but depending on the outcome of this turbo it might curb my interests a bit more. I am doing a complete 2.0L build with Buschur stage III head and gonna run 50/50 meth, but dont want to run 30+psi to reach 500+whp if I don't have to... thanks Mike...

Well to make 500-600HP youll for sure need well over 30psi on a red.. The red also is a great turbo and 1 that i suggest along with these depending again on HP goals and cars purpose.. 500hp road race car i would suggest a RED all day long however if its a pump gas car looking for 450+ you have no choice but to go t3.. the red doesnt make 500hp on pump..

Mike I see you mentioned somewhere in the neighborhood of 600-650whp with this 5857, I am thinking this makes it a low 60 lb/min turbo?

Just my guesstimate from experience.. however i have been off before.. I thought 875whp on 6765 MAX and it turned 921 on 44psi.. LOL

You might be on target with the 60lb/min.. I honestly i have never asked PTE for flow info before but maybe they have something... Ill ask..

1 thing i did notice however is that the 58mm is 6 blade and 60mm is 7 blade.. My experience is that 6blade makes more peak power but 7 blade makes a little better power at lower boost..
