The red also is a great turbo and 1 that i suggest along with these depending again on HP goals and cars purpose.. 500hp road race car i would suggest a RED all day long however if its a pump gas car looking for 450+ you have no choice but to go t3.. the red doesnt make 500hp on pump..

All T4's are laggy, and your car with a T3 at 900 whp DJ is responsive?

Maybe one day someone will put a PT turbo against a 35r back to back but until then I guess I'll continue to believe the 35r is unmatched in response for it's peak power output.

I do respect your answer saying you don't want to do a back to back test. It is a shame though because the back to back tests (ala Buschur) are really valuable to the community.

i guess the closest would be the 35r.. I beleive this should make more power per lb of boost and outspool it however..

So Mike, if I am looking to make ~450 whp on 91 + Meth (on an evo 9) with as broad a torque curve as possible, and great transient response, which turbo would you recommend ? Thanks in advance!

T3 or T4 really doesn't matter. I had an open scroll T4 T67 that would likely have spooled right with a GT35R and made as good if not better power, in my situation.

Going up to T4 just unlocks a lot of other options. I don't think I'll ever build a T3 setup again. All preference though.

If that the ultimate goal probably a RED would work best.. if your planning for future upgrades and will want more power go for the 5857..
