When are you guys going to throw that thing on your 8 sec street beast? That should be the selling point for most folks backed up with some trap times to compare to the closest comp, hta3582. Keep up the great work.

now will this spool up like the HTA 35R or the reg 35R? Can't wait to see how the testing turns out.

My Goal is to hit 10's in the 1/4 but have a daily driver and still be able to dart around town. I might get the fever to want to have more power later on. But don't want laggy spool up. Oh yeah I want to try to hit 500-550 hp. Now should I go FP Red or go with this 5857. Or or That new FP Black I heard about.

The 8 second street beast will soon be a road race car.. Its retired from drag for now.. I dont quite have the car together enough to test a turbo.. we have a car that will be testing the 6057 this month and then the 5857 possibly also..

we are expecting 3582 type spoolup.. Its a little smaller turbo but i would expect it to spool as good or better.. only way to know is wait for us to get it on a good car for testing..

Sorry thought you were kind of talking to yourself the way you said it.. LOL

I dont know what a black will do , the red will make 550 but at much higher boost levels than a 5857.. for 500hp i always suggest the red.. unless you think you want 550 or more.. you have to decide what you want to actually make and around how much boost you plan on which fuel..

Well around here we don't have E85. So it's going to have to be on 93/meth.
That 5857 won't spool as quick as the red will it? How far off would it be from the red? Thanks for your info mike and help.

I cannot comment on spool #'s because it would be a very rough guess.. it will not spool as fast as a red thats for sure.. Its a much larger turbo..

Hey Mike,
If you need a test dummy.
I can come over their to test that 5857 turbo on what I have listed in my sig. I know some people would like to see what this turbo will do on a some what stock set up.

No updates just yet.. It appears the few we have sold are going on cars that are being built up and not a quick replacement.. Might be a couple more weeks..

Mike I can't wait for the tests. I'm try to decide between the Billet 5857 or the FP Black.

I'm curious to see what kind of power this makes at ~25psi on pump.

for those of you curious about this turbo i have some preliminary info on a similar larger turbo... We did some quick testing on a 6057 Billet turbo this weekend.. Would you beleive it makes 30psi at 4600rpm?? it gets better.. this was even a journal bearing..

So imagine the 5857 in Ballbearing... Its going to be a sick spooling turbo as i anticipated and itll make 600+hp all day i guarantee!!!!

Mike
