The piece looks like it would cause boost creep issues. Since the opening in front of the wastgate flapper is not shaped, like the stock o2 housing that comes on the evo.

We have had two instances of boost creep since we launched our O2 eliminator and O2 Dump housings 1.75 years ago. Both customers ended up figuring out they had boost controller issues. We have sold hundreds of our "o2" products, with ZERO negative feedback, maybe a ACD fitment issue sprinkled throughout the time, by sprinkled I mean 3 . All which were picked up free of charge and a new product was shipped out same day. Our products have a lifetime warranty against defects, and fitment issues.

Regarding the flapper and external wastegate. You are correct 9sec9 uses our MVS downpipe for his race car. You can remove the flapper if you wish, or you can hold it open with a spring which is what we recommend so the flapper just isn't in there, well....flapping?

I seem to remember someone (9sec9 maybe) posting that they left the flapper intact with the external gate but then held the flapper open with a spring? Could you explain that?

Neat product.
Exactly, the wastegate flapper hardly opens even when the arm is at full travel. The volume of exhaust gas going through the wastegate is much less than everyone assumes. And yes you can either provision the flapper to remain open or remove it entirely but that's a more permanent solution.

This is a nice setup for those of us that would like to drop the exhaust at the drag strip!

You may have to get an extension for drag strip use though, otherwise it would be like you are running open O2 housing lol.

I think he meant if they had to drop the exhaust to fix something. Like a transfer case

We were also contemplating the idea to make add-on's for the v-band housing. Like a 3" dump out to the side, or maybe a 3" dump with a turn down just passed the oil pan? We will see!
