Probably won't matter at all one a daily driver but it's a tradeoff regardless.

My question here was more to understand why would you move this at all? Is it just to make the engine bay more "tidy" and appealing to the eye, or is there something else I'm missing?

We have been running this setup in our race car for quite a while now with no issues at all. We have never had any kind of AIT issues at all, even in 100 degree weather. I am a big fan of taking things out of the engine bay to free up room however I can. This year we will be mounting a custom catch can solution where the stock over flow was.

As for an engine bay looking clean and "tidy" Here are some pics of mine.

In this one you will notice how effortless it would be to work around the turbo kit.

To each their own though. I am just a fan of having nothing in the way.

Another nice thing about the position of this can and probably the most important part is, If you do overheat and push coolant going down the track it will not spray all over your tires.

Nice looking product Em, I'm sure we will be putting one on Matt's car soon enough. Once I show him this he will be all over it.

Agreed. I would never remove the AC for a can. lol. I would however remove the AC to add a forward facing turbo kit. Then comes the can.

My thought exactly, thanks Em. With all the complaining this site is reminding me of H-T more and more everyday.

And he isnt joking, I saw him change his turbo in about 30min before going to the track when he was having a problem.

And some people do DD their Evo with a FF kit. One of the ones STM built with a 35r is DD with a FF kit. If you have a problem with saving weight and adding power then you are looking at the wrong parts.
