Evo 8/9 Short Runner Exhaust Manifold – “California Special” Available Only From MAP

A big thanks goes out to Mil-Spec for the great idea. We have taken our Evo 8/9 Short Runner Exhaust Manifold and created a package that we call our California Special! By coating the manifold black and fabbing up an adapter to fit your stock heat shield we feel we have ultimate upgrade for you California Evo owners - all for only $200 extra

Stock Exhaust Manifold vs. MAP "Short Runner" Tubular Exhaust Manifold

Again, the peak gains here aren't outrageous but the mid range gains (+29whp +22ft/lbs) are substantial and spool hasn't suffered one bit! At just $649.99 shipped the "sneaky" horsepower per dollar ratio is hard to beat!

Very nice!! Was the stock manifold in the comparison ported? If not, how would it compare to a ported stocker?

WOW! Great idea. This is right up my alley but I don't think I personally could ever justify that price. Ouch! Oh well. I guess I should add that I already have your ported stock manifold so I don't have a ton to gain for spending $650. Great idea though.

Nice manifold. It actually might pass visual without the shield. It looks like something that could be stock. Midrange power gains is where its at if you autox or road race.

Because of the black coating I'm sure a visual will pass with a inexperienced non-car person. However the shield definitely helps out

That's the titek manifold with coating and bosses for the heat shield correct?

Not a bad deal, about time somebody offered this.

We offer it under our name, however it is similar to the Titek/GT Spec manifolds. We have done some testing with it and posted it with comparisons with our other manifold offerings.
