Hmmm . . . Interesting. I've seen several cracked/blown apart transmission from one certain builder . . . but none from another. They may be out there but I have not seen them yet. Not pointing fingers, just thinking aloud . . .
What I would like to see is a redesigned case made of billet using full FEA engineering to make it lighter than stock yet stronger. I wouldn't buy it because I don't need it, but it would be cool just to see what could be accomplished.

Cool. Congrats on the capital purchase.
The company I work for has a Mazak for small parts and 9 big 5-axis precision mills... err.. really big (100’ x 20’ x 8’). www.janicki.com So if you need big molds made... you know where to go

Making one lighter than stock would be some feat for sure. The stock one is thin and flimsy and billet is much more dense in terms of material. I don't think making a billet case that's lighter than the stock OEM case is even possible.
If we nuke the TC next, then that's exactly what is coming next.
Once the 5 axis comes in, April/May, we can do those as well.

i havent nuked a t case yet but i no some members on the fourms who drag race alot have been threw a few and at $1500 for a used one whatever price you guys came up with it would prolly be worth it famous words if you build it nerds will come well we are all car geeks.

A LOT. After speaking with the guys at AMS and AWDmotorsports, it's really not all that uncommon in the big hp Evo's. Mike said that they had split several just themselves.

Not sure if you saw, but the precision is:
standard: X-/Y-axis +/- 0.2mm; Z-axis +/- 0.17mm/m
