Bump for pics of the dynamat!!!!

Are people just dynamatting the bottom part of the OEM strut bar that sit ontop of the Ingalls bracket? I just cant see how that can be torqued down...

Trace the strut tower bracket on a piece of dynamat. Make the actual piece about 1/4" smaller than the bracket. Try one to two layers. Torque the bolts then drive a short drive and recheck the torque.

Sorry for being too caught up to get you any pics the other day boosted, just got done with a friend's clutch. Basically I agree with you in not wanting to put the dynamat under the strut bar, that's why I dynamated all around the mounting point on the strut tower. I just took my time with a couple of scrap pieces of dynamat lying around and just trimmed, fitted, shake and repeat. I'm staying in my hobbit hole today but will get you a few camera phone shots of the strut tower soon.

I just installed mine is so far it feels great. Shifting is much better especially since it seems my motor mounts are a little worn.

I had a question though. Is the hose with the gold/brass bracket thats on top of the motor mount and next to the ingalls stiffy bracket suposed to be hanging there? I took the screw that holds it down off but can't get it back in because the ingalls stiffy gets in the way. I linked a picture so u can see what im talking about. its the hose with the gold/brass bracket, the one that says JAPAN in white on it. might be a little hard to see.

Did you mount the bracket the right way? Sounds like if you cant get the support for that hose hose back on to the motor mount your bracket is mounted wrong for the ingalls damper. In the photo, everything is correct.
