TTP-Engineering new cam timing, dyno chart included
Ok, here are the first documented results for the new cam gear settings from Scott at ttp-engineering.
A few things to note:
The baseline run is from early April.
The car setup has Not changed: boost, fuel, tuning, etc.
Only cam gear settings were changed since the baseline run in April.
3 runs were made, and this was the final of the 3 runs.
the car was dynoed at central florida turbo both times
Big thanks to Scott at ttp-engineering
+ 38.1 HP and - 26.8 TQ

Holy crap, well at least it makes a little more sense now. There is a massive, and I mean MASSIVE loss of spool and area under the curve, but then you get a huge gain in power beginning around 5900 and lasting until you let off above 7000 (it was still climbing slightly). This is a perfect drag setup, but you wouldn't want to run it this way anywhere other than the drag strip, imo.
Thanks for posting - this is very informative except that we're missing the cam timing numbers. I assume that's for obvious reasons, haha.

I spent roughly 2-3 minutes observing the dyno charts. The dyno is informative but also tricky. While you claim 38.1whp(true) you also don't mention you lost up to 120lbs/ tq across the line below the 5400rpm mark.
specifically your losses are 75 lbs/tq as early as 3000rpm
by 3750rpm you are making 150lbs/tq less
by 4300 you are down 120lb/tq
whp is down by as much as 100whp from 3500rpm to 4500 and decreases up to 5400rpm. In other words your overall gains are what you claimed, no doubth but have you look at your losses?
I hope you have a clear idea of what you want. Like Warrtalon said, this is good for the track only, I rather have 120plus lbs/tq before 5400rpm in sacrifice of less top end. Your WHP before 5400rpm is also hurt by this new set up, before the 5400 rpm your previous whp was higher.
I hope you can easily revert the process if you decise that this is not your set up.
Good luck either way, Scott is very knowleadble and very experimental, he will be the first one to improve the seting if this one happen to not float your boat.

"Warrtalon"-According to Scott’s signature he is making 404.6whp/445tq. I was running 93 pump gas in the car when I dynoed it. his numbers might have changed since then i don't know.

He has gained about 6mph since that last dyno. Before his cam gear finding, he was estimating around 430 on that dyno due to changes/mods since then, so now that he went from 118.5-122mph, I'm thinking 450-460 on that dyno peaking way up top, so around 100 more yeah. Alky vs 93oct, I know, but 16g vs 50 trim. I think joeymia did 357 on there with pump gas on his stock turbo, too.
Anyway, you're showing a 38whp gain, but as Carlos said, there's a 120wtq loss below 5400rpm. You lose far more power than you gain...

Basically, it gives you GT30 or 35R spoolup without the huge topend, although it is definitely a significant gain for the stock turbo. Again, this would be perfect for people who can change their cam gears just for drag racing, then change them back for daily driving or other forms of racing (along with retuning themselves).

Yes, you got huge gains on the stock turbo with this method. Since you give no info and have not dyno'd, we can only assume that this trick had the same effect on your car.
Why do you want to talk about Chris's Evo? Are you saying it lacks spoolup and low end torque but then is fast on the top-end or what? This Evo has no spoolup, no torque and has a little top-end...about 600 less than Chris. It looks like a bad deal unless it's a drag-only Evo.
