You use ECU flash. I sent John an email sunday to get an eflash. I can't wait, im getting anxious on how the car will feel afterwards. How long did everyone usually wait to get the eflash back?
Update: Somehow my email was not received or marked as spam. John contacted me promptly after my post inquring about this. His customer service is top notch A+++. I wasn't expecting a response from him on Sunday, I dont expect anyone to have to work on Sunday.

M1 is what everyone usually gets. You just need to buy a cable to get your stock image, email it to John then he emails you back the modified image. You then flash it to your ecu. No downtime and no need to send your ecu off to him. You can get the cable from http://www.mynesperformance.com/shop/ . That is where I got mine and datalogging software is free, or you can pay 25.00 for evoscan. Either should be fine.

If you are planning on sending him the whole ECU, then I'm pretty sure that would be the M2 flash. The M1 one flash is the one that most of us are getting and is pretty much the same as the M2, except it is done via e-mail and you have to have the cable to hook up the car's ECU to a computer. M3 is a custome road/dyno tune.
Personally, I ordered a cable for like $90 and then just got an e-mail flash from john for about $50 (which includes a tweaked map after you log his inital map). Plus you get the added benefites of no downtime, no expensive shipping, and the ability to log the car via the ODBII port.
Damn, confusionisbad beat me to it.

If you are looking for the cable (I think that is it), just follow this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=202422
I think right now they are out of stock, but he will post when they get more (looks like in a about a week or so).

I couldn't really tell you since I have never done both, nor do I know anyone that has. But I have yet to hear anyone complain about their M1 tune (esp. for the price). Really though, your best source of information comparing John's tunes is John himself. He's very helpful and knowledgable, so just shoot him an e-mail. He's generally pretty quick to respond.

Jestr tuning =
I orgainized the first Jestr tuning event in NC. Not too many people knew about him back then. However, 5 of the 10 people flashed that day had Dynoflash tunes in there cars at the time. 100% of the converts were happy as could be. John is a super nice guy. Highly recommended as well.
I think the "Best kept secret on Evom" is out of the bag now. I dont know how he is going to keep up with demand.
