well im back. duh. anyway. i have nothing to say here. im STILL speachless. free rides for the wondering. im going out now to have more fun.

on a side note. if you send him your ecu you will have down time. plus if you data log the car you got to send it back to him. all in all just save the time and get the cable. you will not regrt it. also for ANYONE in my area you can use my cable and loger as long as need be. but only under one condition. you use jestr for your eflash. i meen what kind of condition am i running here if its the best out there. hum. no loss there. win win. anyway pm me if you need me. im more then willing to help set you up and do some data logging for you. plus i will help you find boost leaks and whatever else to get you up to par for the best resolts. o and im free of charge.

Evodan,

Glad to hear you had such a great experience. I'm leaning towards Jestr or TTP.
Glad you got your cable after the little mix up. What datalogger did you use?

I just got my flash from Jestr/John a few days ago, and the car pulls much stronger!

He's one of the only tuners (I think TTP is the other) that will even consider working with a non US map so he's the man!

Plus he is very friendly :-)

Just wondering... he offered me a tuned 2nd map (besides the base flash which is already much stronger). I dont have a wideband so I guess it would be rather pointless? Or do you guys think just Evoscan alone would help him?

If I do need to send Jestr/John a wideband-evoscan log combo, which wideband unit do you guys recommend that will work with Evoscan so that John can do his magic better?

Seems like John is a sexy man and I'm almost bursting with anticipation for this weekend. 10 Evos rolling down with 7 or 8 of us getting tuned. Some Evos are being tuned on Friday (Portland guys) to help with the busy tuning schedule on Saturday. There will be lots of pictures and of course, a picture of the man that's making it all happen; John w/ Jestr.

When I first e-mail him I told him that I didn't have a wide-band sensor and couldn't send him any afr logs, but when he sent my map he said to send him a log of a 3rd gear pull, 4th gear pull, and a 1st-2nd-3rd gear pull. If anything he can still check for knock and adjust timings a bit. Can't really tell you for sure though since I haven't yet had time to find a nice clear road to do the logs.

you wont need a wideband. but it greatly helps to have one. i got the innovate lc-1. love it. just log the car and send it to him. he can check other things and still be better.

I live in shady canyon, right in the middle of newport and irvine. But I love it, its a really nice place. Next time you are in the area let me know and we can meet up for some highway runs, theres a new canyon road that used to be(still is) the old 133 going down to laguna, looks like its gonna be fun!
Looks like it'll be $1K + airline ticket for John to come out there to tune only your car. Seriously try to organize a tune session to lower the cost.

You won't regret his tune one bit. His service, patience with questions, and just plain being a good guy is what made our tune session such a good one. He would work and work and work on a problem to make sure the customer is satisfied until he's forced to give up because of time constraints. Absolutely great guy to work with and I hope he'll be coming back sometime soon. Also very humble and refuses to talk smack about any vendors. One tuner who shall remain nameless did a horrible job on everyones car that was tuned today. I.E. one member has upper and lower intercooler pipes, intake, TBE, MBC, BOV, AMS intercooler, and meth kit. Baseline dyno? 231whp. After John? 347whp.
