ATS/Carbonetics flywheel gone bad after 10 miles
I have an ATS clutch in my car. The first flywheel had teeth break off of it after 3000 miles. I replaced the flywheel and checked the triple carbon clutch. The clutch appeared to have virtually no wear and was in tact. Ten miles after the flywheel was replaced, along with a new starter, it was also trashed . The teeth of the flywheel were on my garage floor broken off at initial start up . I contacted ATS and they said that I am only the second person this has EVER happened to. ATS claims it is not an engineering issue therefore they will not replace it, not even at cost, and have offered no suggestions as to why something of this nature would occur. If anyone knows why this would happen, or has experienced the same thing and has learned something from it, please feel free to post what is going on.

When it happened the first time, I decided it would be a perfect time to rebuild the transmission since it would have to be pulled out anyways. I didn't even have time to enjoy that before a major catastrophe happened again. I am not happy at all. But the people at Mynes are trying to resolve this issue for me. Hopefully everything will work out.
