What was boost set at? Also, was an MBC used or just a mod to the stock lines?

speaking of MBC, was talking to a coworker about his MBC just today, and he mentioned how he has to reset his depending on atmospheric conditions in order to achieve his target boost levels. i'm not really familiar with MBCs and i'm sure that not all MBCs are made equal(ly) so do people here ever have to do the same thing? i never noticed anyone mentioning anything like that here on evom when i was researching what tuning service to go with.

Yes, you do have to keep an eye on the boost level with an mbc, but it's not like you are changing it every day. It's more of a seasonal adjustment. The colder it gets the more boost can spike, so you just have to watch it. Thats why a boost gauge is required when running an mbc.

If I can just take you guys back to a tuning 101 question: I noticed that the manifold on my brand new IX was really rusty. Is that normal or should I be talking to the dealer?

Came here because I'm thinking of getting the Stage One mods by Vishnu (ECU reflash + passive booster... I don't even know what that means). Your #'s are impressive.

Thanks.
Z.

I would talk to the dealership. Mine was replaced from being excessively rusty. And thanks, though the car and Shiv get the credit for the numbers. All I did was pay the money for it.

It's cast iron - I would expect nothing but rust Unless it doesn't see rain or get washed occasionally.
