dyno tune. you'll have to do it in person. having looked at many reviews now, that is the only way i would do i vishnu tune. on the dyno, shiv is, many years later, still the standard for output and quality. but for mail-in or email, vishnu is absolutely not the way to go.

four months later, i would go the exact same route. i've been very happy with the car's output and quality of power delivery under many conditions.

i posted an update on the first page. i'm gonna go ahead and "19'd" myself and not edit any of the posts that pertain to the original tune. i just think that this is a good lesson for myself. there is a lot of value in a tuner that will answer all of the noob/ annoying questions that new guys ask. but that doesn't mean just fire away with all the questions that come off the top of your head - do the due diligence, research, and arrive at the tuner at least conversant about basic aspects of tuning, and ensure that you come away confident about your equipment because you have hard data to back it up.

wow iam sorry to hear that i was on the same boat as you got an xede used the basemaps from there site and when i bought evoscan saw that passing 5500rpms the knock sums went as high as 15-18KS i got help from evom members to on retuning my xede and i got the knock sums down to 1-2 but never made good power with it know i changed to a flash from mellontuning.com and my car is so much smoother to drive and actually makes more power.
i regret that i drove my car for 12,000miles with the xede maps and those high knock counts
thats a thing of the past and be glad that you fixed your car.
how many miles did you drive like this?
