So the nightmare is finally over, only took them about 4 weeks to get me my shift knob.
For the record: Every single person I have dealt with at that dealership has been either completely incompetent or a complete liar, with the exception of a lady named Sue in the title department who was very pleasant and helpful. On a side note, I hope for his sake that I never meet Chris in person.
