AMS K&N Filter and MAF Adapter

I am looking for a simple bolt on part and AMS has proven themselves so I just want to hear some feedback from others that have it if possible. Has anyone had any problems with it or good experiences. Thanks for the info. And yes I know the stock air box is good for like 400 hp but i'm retarded and want the bov sound and to hear the turbo spool better.

I have the kit from ams and it includes the adapter and filter. You will hear the turbo and the bov alot better. Sometimes it is too much though. If you have any ?s let me know. but just call ams and they will send it right out. They are awesome.

I dislike advertising peoples products but in all seriousness, its been proven that the Buschur filter is the best for power and a clean engine. The design of the filter also has more surface area and alterations to the maf sensor's flow readings is minimal compared to others. The K&N unit that AMS sells has a closed metal end while the Buschur unit has more filtering area for more flow capabilities. It can not be denied that he has the best intake kit and ignition system for the Evo. That is a fact. Someone's going to come in here preaching HKS Super Suction but HKS leaves you with a dirty engine. Comptech has disclamers on their NSX supercharger kits forbidding buyers from using HKS filters with their SC kit. That is a fact. TIFWIW.

I have the AMS, dont like it at all. It is just a vibrant maf adapter w/gasket and a K&N cone filter. I wish I went with buschur for 1 reason, It comes with a bracket so the filter doesnt lay on a body bracket causing the metal part of the filter to scrape off paint....

www.buschurracing.com

I own the filter and only have good things to say about it. Solved a lot of problems while tuning the car (I used to have another cheapo cone air filter that was causing weird readings throwing my AFRs off).

I have the AMS MAF adapter and K&N cone filter and I dont like it. The filter just lays there and bounces around in the engine bay. One side of the filter is destroyed, I will be purchasing Buschurs Mass air pipe and filter kit soon. Ill try getting pictures tomorrow.

I use the TurboXS adapter and filter (K&N). It is well made and has a very nice bracket for bolting the adapter to the frame rail so the filter doesn't flop around. All intakes regardless of make will require tuning to run properly (including Buschurs).
