COBB Tuning EVO 8 & 9 Turbo Back Exhaust

We had the pleasure to install the first Cobb Tuning EVO 8 & 9 Turbo back exhaust system on our shop EVO 8 over the weekend. This system is made out of 3" Stainless Steel tubing, with amazing Tig welds. We have installed many Cobb Subaru systems, and this one was no different. The quality was 10/10 and it fit perfect with out any issues. Unlike most EVO systems that require spacers for the Lower subframe, this one fit perfect with out a need of a single spacer! This alone was very impressive. The wait for the system was long, but was well worth it, as not a singe issue came up during the install.
TWO thumbs up to COBB Tuning, for making yet another great product!
Official weigh in, 21lbs lighter then stock!

This is one of the best TurboBack Exhaust that we have ever installed. Fitments was amazing, with not a single issue. Not even a single spacer for the sub-frame was needed!

This is a FULL 3" system, And is offered in both USDM and JDM (bumper) length. Allowing EVO owners that have JDM rear bumpers an option for a shorter rear section that does not stick out past there bumper!
USDM length Shown

We chose to heat wrap the Down Pipe to help keep heat out of the oil pan and off the engine in general.

The muffler section has a bend in it with the tip coming sideways. However after the cat-back was installed it was a perfect fit, with plenty of ground clearance and no worry that the muffler will be getting scraped on speed bump like some other systems.

FULL 3" System

The install was straight forward with out any issues fitment issues.

Recommended items to add.
Heat wrap the DP.
Polyurethane exhaust hangers.

The BEvo is looking good as always I heard that the Cobb downpipe is one of the best fitting downpipes that are available (well, soon to be available) for the Evo!

That is correct.

It is with a Test Pipe, the Hight flow Cat will be 6db quieter, and will also pass the California sound level with the high flow cat!

Thanks

Dyno numbers are hard to get from one system to another, considering the fact that after an install of a TBE system you will want to get the car tuned for safe AF, IGN, and Boost.
So a HP gain of 30+ HP with this system and a Tune will not be hard to get.
