i might do that! i am very interested on the results on my car as i really want to stay with such a light oil. The benefits are enormous.
Just to update the review, 3rd day with this oil, the car feels great...
Started the car this morning, very smooth and the engine is definitely quieter on idle than before!

I sent an email to AMS(not amsoil) and Eric recommended against amsoil 0w-30 He recommended 10w-40 amsoil instead.
Although the amsoil rep told me that it was the best, I have much more faith in a speed shop the sells the very same oil and actually uses it. Food for thought.

Next oilt change I am going to spend a bit and try Royal Purple to see if it holds up well as the Amsoil.

Amsoil
First i never leave an engine oil in the car for more than 3000 miles.
I thought one of the main reasons for using this oil is that you do not change it as often as 3000 miles. I believe you can go as long as 25,000 miles.

In the Evo I run 10W-30 b/c it's a summer only car. More power or if I lived in a really HOT climate and I'd probably go with 10W-40 like I did with the STi in AZ

OP: how's the oil holding up so far? They just replaced TSO with SSO-
Threadjack/
After MUCH thinking, I have decided to try out AMSOIL's new line, SSO 0w-30 with a WIX filter. I'm going to let it go about 4500 miles then do an Used Oil Analysis. If it goes well there's potential to have a safe 8-10k oil change. So better oil + long OCI = just as cheap as Mobil 1 but a superior oil. I'll make my own thread down the road

I'm a little past 3k miles and still going strong. On AMSoil SSO that is. At 6k, I will do a oil test to see how well it held up. I'm also using a wix filter, which I've been told last up to 7500 miles!
I hope AMSOIL lives up to my expectations!
