Aug 29th, my 6 speed transmission exploded. That day, I called Shepherd Transmisions and talked to John about my options. He recommended the ultimate ratio 5 speed and discussed all the pros/cons and answered every question I threw at him. Sep 7th, brand new transmission plus everything required for the swap arrived @ 9 am. Packaging was very impressive, it was so well packed that I needed a pick axe to get through all the packing foam. John even called to make sure I received everything OK and answer any install questions. Transmission went in Sep 11th with no issues. New transmission is great, shifting is a little notchier than the 6 speed, but I'll take that over eminent failure any time. I'll be testing it @ englishtown on the 22nd.

Bottom line: John Shepherd is the man to go to for transmissions.

is shep going to the shootout on the 22nd at e-town??

if so i need to have a talk with him about my trans options and what would be best for my setup. my trans is close to going boom boom.. i think 1st gear on decel is wining like a bich.. everything else is perfect still though.

im still on stock trans....
