Very true, but without a good tune, the quality parts wouldn't add up to much. Thanks again bud, I will be seeing you very soon.

Thank you guys, and yes, I am enjoying it safely The car is definitely a different animal now. Where my car used to be super quick through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd before, it now rips through all those gears and even through 4th at a ridiculous rate. It's almost as if 3rd gear was like old 2nd gear and my 4th gear was like my old 3rd gear; it rips that hard.

SickNsilver, you would love the 61mm on a 2.3

390awhp @ 24psi , pretty good but awfully laggy. The EVOgreen would smoke it from a roll. Hopefully you get a better return at high boost on the meth.

just goes to show you that pump gas doesn't do a big turbo justice.

have you taken it to the track yet? that would be a better indication of the power.

Yes Chris, it is a larger turbo, it will be laggier. It was never my intention to run the turbo on pump gas, it was a matter of me not having head bolts in the car at the time. To be quite honest, I am extremely happy with the return I got from this turbo on pump gas but I appreciate your concern.
Let me back what Chris is saying here everybody, if you are running pump gas at this boost level, there are better turbos out there
I am going to repeat myself here and I apologize for that, but for those of you wondering, the car Haaauls A** as is at 24psi on pump gas. The car is making more power than many people think
Grad school keeps me quite busy over here so I do not have much time to make it to the track but I promise you all, when I have to time, I will go.

I'm with ya bro, I probably came off wrong but certainly didn't mean it as a dig on your setup. Just pointing out an observation that some people might have missed.

Personally, I could care less about my 20g spooling @ 3200, I don't do any racing down there I'm going to push it on meth and if that's not enough for me (oh it won't be) I'll order up a 35R. I'll gladly trade off the spool for the power When I'm at the track, I shift at 8k and never see less than 5500rpm anyway. I do the occasional autox but I really don't care about my times, I just go out there to raise some hell legally and blister the tires

Exactly, all my racing is done from 5,000rpm on up I'm not about to race someone from 3,000rpm, especially if they have a Green
No worries I, myself, love the outright power up top. I have owned an evo for almost 3 years now and have seen many different setups. People b*tch and complain about lag and I just don't get it, but to each their own. For some yeah, if they are autocrossing and/or road racing then for sure, they obviously don't want such a large turbo. I love the outright power, that is why I am starting here with PT61. I have always loved the 35R's, and this turbo is much like it
