The JUN intake features design attributes that are important to a good manifold. The photos plainly illustrate this.

The runner orifices are raised off the floor, which provides a greater angle of entry in which air can be drawn into the runner.

The plenum near the TB exit is nearly the same diameter as the TB. This minimizes turbulence between the transition from TB to plenum. Turbulence causes uneven air/fuel metering between cylinders and reduces power and reliability.

The gradual taper toward the end opposite the TB reduces turbulence and stabilizes air pressure.

If only someone would make a good, affordable copy . . .

Looks like you are going to have some fun testing these manifolds to the limit. Man, that AMS manifold looks huge!

YES GREG!!
No need to worry. Was just a little bored after Christmas. You know I have an interest on intake manifold designs. Not to mention I've always been impressed by the Jun intake on other platforms.

You know what they say.
Sometimes you get what you pay for. 'SOMETIMES'!
Just like when dealing with intake manifold designs the dyno#'s are not where it's going to matter anyway.
