My review of the Speed Source shifter base bushings: Worth the $28! I ordered these on Thurs or Fri and received them on Mon so the shipping couldn't get much faster. The install was easy just like on DSM's, the hardest part was getting all the stupid factory plastic clips undone, but taking my time and with the test-drive it took me under an hour. I think the biggest weak-point now is the factory plastic shifter housing/base (1G DSM one is steel, not sure why they used plastic for the Evo). The feel is great though, very precise and solid, but I think the plastic housing/base is what keeps things from getting really clunky. Vibrations/noises were barely increased, probably not enough for anyone to even notice. These go great with the underhood shifter cable bushings (I have the Buschur ones previously installed).
