Thats the rumor I heard as well, I called Works though and they assured me theyd had no such problems. And mine is still working perfectly. I have a very harsh track day tomorrow, thatll be the true test.
I am looking at the works shifter myself are you still happy with it?

The last time I checked with you guys, you said that you don't have shortshifter for MR. So what's up with that?

And if I am not wrong, you guys told me that I can't buy it by itself, because you guys have to do the installation by yourself.

I want one too.

You guys should also get their bushings, it makes a huge difference. I was skeptical at first with their prices also, I am willing to pay for parts that work...and these WORKS! hahah
