See how tight the fit is with 4 inch core?
What it states is correct.

Oh I see. That's how they fitted 4.5 inches. Smart!! Good design by Buschur. I hate to admit it, but I like it better than mine.

Hey Acewolf, have you looked at putting some sort of screen up in front of the IC? The only reason I ask is that I ended up putting a screen in front of both the stock and then the Nisei IC on my VIII after one rn through AK with the local Porsche group. The rocks beat the crap out of my stocker.

I will upgrade the IC when I get my X and I will put some sort of screen (I used a metal screen for screen doors/windows, you can buy it by the roll at Home Depot) in when I get it. Some people theorised that the screen could hurt the IC performance in a thread many years ago when I did it on my VIII, but the way I see it is that the IC will work a lot better with the screen in front of it then it will with all of the fins bent over/smashed.

My father bought a Sky Redline about three months ago and promptly put a RPi IC in it. I told him to put a screen up infront of it and he did not. About three weeks ago he went on a tour to the hill country near Austin and not only did the fins get beat to hell, it sandblasted the painted on "RPi" logo off of the IC! Now this next weekend we are pulling the front facia off again to use a little pair of tweezers to straighten the fins out and pull the little pieces of rocks out that are stuck in between the fins. I personally have already been there and done that, won't be doing it again....
