my poor evo
#35
from what I gathered, I *think* he is sueing for the car not being repaired when promise and his parts being sold off his vehicle with out his permission.
I read that his insurance sued the tow company for the repairs required due to improper towing and I *think* the OP to the EVO to Extreme for those repairs, which according to the OP have not been complete.
I also gathered that the OP paid for all or the majority of repairs and modifications already. Which IMO is the least smartest thing anyone can to, pay for something before it is done. At least leave a deposit for them to start, but never pay for it all before.
Oh and I *think* that the only reason he took it back to Extreme is because it was not putting down the power Extreme said it would. (Which would be becasue of the bad clutch, IMO)

did anybody else catch the part in the story where he had his brand new car tuned to make power with only 60 miles on it???? What ever happened to breaking in motors?
Or I have just lost my mind....

Cliff notes, with pictures!
OP buys an Evo and takes it to Extreme Motorsports
then to the track, where he puts up a lackluster time for the power he is "supposed" to have (which BTW is obviously the fault of the car, not the driver) and blows up his clutch in the process. He calls a tow truck, which was the wrong type and the car gets owned a second time due to poor execution by the driver
So he takes the car back to Extreme (the same shop that gave him disappointing numbers before... WTF?) where the car sits for a long time. He gets fed up and decides court is the way to go.
...and that is the story so far.
Is that a bit better for those of you out there who, like me, were having a hard time reading the original post or the later summary?

I don't want to divulge to much information until after the court date on Thursday, but it appears most of you have figured out this guy anyway. It's funny how this young man tries to get a rally cry to his cause over the internet 4 days before the trial. The most I can say is we have documentation of EVERYTHING that has transpired since day one. All work done, all dyno graphs, and all money ever collected by us.
As far as Extreme Motorsports goes, we do very high quality work and tuning, and have been in business for over 14 years, if anything this guy claimed was true at all, we would not be able to keep our doors open. I challenge anyone to come talk to us and see what we're really about, before you start believing the incoherent ramblings of some random guy on an internet forum.

Unfortunately the shop didn't give him disappointing numbers, and also that's not what happened. Lets just say ALOT of work was done and was not payed for, you don't pay, you don't get your car back just like every other garage out there.

Only thing I see that might be Extreme's fault is the amout of time they had the car. Without knowing all the details, I cant even blame them for that 100%. It happens sometimes.
Everything else is the fault of the op. If you cant drive, you burn clutches. If you let your car get towed by the wrong type of truck, stuff gets broke. No mystery here. I'd say you were extreme-ly lucky the towing company paid you anything. After all you let them hook it up.
