Mellon Tuning – Great Tune & Great Customer Service

I was a complete newbie to the EVO tuning process when I decided to add some mods & get a tune. I was concerned about getting involved with what appeared on the surface to be a complicated, time consuming process. I am very happy that I decided to go with Mellon Tuning. Chris, and the great information on his web site, made the whole process very easy on my end.

Chris was very responsive, and he took the time to answer all of my stupid questions. He is extremely meticulous and he just kept tuning until I was completely satisfied with the results (13 new hex files in my case).

I will definitely be getting another Mellon Tune when I add some more mods later this year.

thanks for the feedback Dan, I enjoyed working with you on your tune!

Here's the DLL chart, 165lbs for the driver, no sae correction for the heat (I prefer to give customers a conservative number rather than inflated) I'd spin it on up and shift at 8k, it's making good power all the way.

Yea, I should have mentioned that this run was done with an outside temp. of over 90 degree's F. Also I haven't weighed 165 lbs for a long time, 215 lbs is more like it. - whoops maybe that's why I weigh 215 lbs.

I can't wait to get a bigger turbo and some cams and have Chris work his magic again.

I haven't done much research yet, but I'm thinking a FP Red or Green with Comp 280's, Kelford 272's, or GSC S2's. The goal is something close to 400 AWHP (DLL) on 93 octane. The car will seldom if ever see a dyno, race gas, or the track, just daily driven on the street.

FP Red + cam would be killer and should do 400+ on 93...the green usually ends up in the 380-400 area but should spool sooner. Then maybe later go to a bigger fmic or ported intake and tb to squeeze out a few more ponies.
