420whp on Evo 8, with 9 turbo and bolt ons?

Yes, thats rite. My question was, Can 420whp WITH 420wtrq be made on an 03 Evo 8 with 9 turbo and bolt ons? And the answer is yes people, and the man behind this accomplishment is Mitch McKee, formerly known as Mitch@Vivid. Stock block, head casting, ECU, etc. The cars mods basically are TBE, IX turbo, mani, 02, wga, ETS intake, IC, and pipe kit, Cossie m3 cams, walbro 255, 880's, fuel rail, E85 and some other little stuff. Now, for all u guys that are thinking yeah, hes makin 420/420 bc of the E85 and super aggresive tune........ YER WROOONNGG!!!! This beast is tuned at a low 27psi, with 10* of timing, and 11.2 AFR's.... Yup, my stock clutch told me to, cuz she couldnt, and wouldnt handle anymore . Well, that was last week, and shes ok with the power, so were gona throw another 2psi or so, and some timing at her and see how she likes it Oh, and on top of it, I averaged 16mpg on my first tank! Well, needless to say, Im extremely happy with the tune and will be back here to post up what those little changes do. Need a great, safe E85 conversion that is gonna make u p00p ur pants every time u nail that throttle? (well, maybe not p00p, but be really, really happy, lol), hit this guy up, he'll hook it up. Thanks for readin peeps, and ill be back soon with updates

Very do-able I made 400awhp/400awtq at P&L's AWD dyno with an Evo IX with only a TBE/EBC/FP/WGA/Air filter and 27psi w/110octane. Congrats on the numbers!

Oh, well im sorry those numbers dont meet ur standards. I never said it was some kind of record, just that 420whp on an evo 8 with 9 turbo/mild bolt ons, with a VERY mild tune was somewhat impressive(for me atleast). Im lookin for 440whp outa this thing soon..... Btw, may I ask what mods and pwr ur making?

I think 420 is very respectable.

Wow, thats actually very impressive. Not sure where all these supposed 440 IX turbos are from, but I call B.S. on their disinterest and claims.

Same here, naturally, u have the tendency to upgrade what u have, so with that being said, I think most IX's automatically go to a bigger turbo w/o maxing out what they have. Like us 8 guys, do most of us have our stock turbos on our cars still? Unless its bc of a financial reason ofcourse.... No, we dont. Im not saying there arent any IX turbos out there makin big hp #'s, but that there are very few in the 450whp range..... With another 2 psi and some ignition timing, im sure Ill hit 440whp, and no matter what anyone says, I think thats d@mn impressive on a stock IX turbo

Not much room lol.

Car ran really well. For those that dont know this Mustang reads very similar to Dave B's dyno, so the numbers really came out great.

Mitch

PS-- Thanks Mark for the review
