My review on QTP O2 Housing w/ external dump

First off, the sound is amazing...
Unfortunately, the fitment is not and took a week before it shipped out.
And the AC line that it was rubbing on would have cost much more then this product.
I had to remove the O2 housing on the second day of having it installed on the car because it was rubbing on the AC line... I had to use a hammer to dent the dump tube quite a bit to give it at least a pencil width from the the ac line... Most of the welds were good but in some spots looked sloppy. Although I only paid $200 for it compared to EPM $258 and JM Fab's $295 I wish I would have not scrimped on it and went for the JM Fab

QTP o2 dump looks like shiet all around IMO. I would've paid more money for the EPM and JM Fab's o2 dumps.

^^ as you can see, crappy welds and horrible porting on the inside.

The thing is you are judging the wastegate port. If you compare this to the EPM one, this is not as smooth on the inside of the pipe, but has a larger opening and then eventually goes smaller. I would think that it should flow better than the EPM one which is just a lil hole in the flange...you know what I mean? cause its an instant bottleneck right at the flange...

I like the QTP concept, but I think they could work on it a bit more...

EPM tested a bunch of designs - they didn't make more power and lost power with some versions. The WG side does not have as much flow as you are thinking. That Motocross style piping v. the straight EPM probably doesn't make any difference.

And to this date, I still have not seen any actual gains from the QTP product. But I have seen gains, myself include with the EPM.

I know the wg side doesn't flow as much, but I was just stating that they were arguing about how it probably flows less...

I don't have the time to do the math, but I bet the size EPM uses flows as much air as is needed.
