Yup, they seem to work very well with no side-effects or issues. I'm definitely glad I ended up ditching the Skunk2 TB and going with the Mil.Spec instead.

From what ive been told the earlier Skunk TB was leaking. The new ones do not leak.

Bringing this back from the dead.

When you gained +36wtq/+27whp @ 4000rpm from the Rev2, was this with the stock TB or after going with the Mil.Spec 65mm TB? Was the Rev2 tested made for the stock TB or the 65mm?

I'm just trying to figure out if I could expect similar results from getting just a Rev2 intake manifold or if I would have to go with a 65mm TB for it to be worthwhile.

Please keep in mind, what I am about to say is not to sell you a throttle body, but to potentially keep you from doing things twice.

IMHO, when you change the intake manifold, it's best to change/upgrade the throttle body at the same time. Why put on a ported manifold and still be sucking air through a small straw? (OEM TB)

Besides working well together (upgraded TB and IM), you'll only need to get tuned once, not twice

Just some things to think about regardless of whose TB you're talking about

^So CBRD is a vendor? I thought Chad told me I had to purchase a TB from you guys and then send you my core. It sure would be nice to just have CBRD swap out the TB and IM from stuff they have in stock and then just send back my cores from the shop. Less hassle, etc.

Last time I checked, Chad didn't have a core on site. AFAIK, you could still purchase it through him or contact Aby directly.

Do you offer the TB in black?

No, but it's easy to get it painted/coated/whatever you want to do.

I would, however, limit it to the outside of the TB as you don't want to coat the ported part and mess with the tolerances.
