Shoot. Mine's the old "heavy" one Now I have new "Ultra Lite" shield envy...

We have received out last order for the year and will not be getting any till the first week in January. Be sure to get your orders in this week for delivery by Christmas.

would coating the exhaust manifold help any? specifically with something like Swain tech's white lightning coating?

Yes that helps tremendously. I use swaintech on all my exhaust mani parts. But it still gets really hot under the hood, and with a big twinscroll mani really close to that sensor this is a great added protection. Do both IMO.

WARNING: A copy is never as good as the original. There has been yet another copy of this shield made of aluminum and does not offer the protection the original does. They did not even bother to change the shape. This is the original shield, made from pre preg carbon fiber with the best heat reflective foil available. It works and has been built and sold for two years. Don't be fooled. Aluminun is the last thing you want to use as a heat shield!

I bought this shield, it looks great and it is suppose to work better than aluminum. Because aluminum absorbs heat where carbon fiber does not.

The price is not bad either for something that works to protect your cam sensor.

Also, the customer service at 9sec9.com was great.
