CBRD Ti Lug Nuts -set #3 in the WORLD!
First of all I want to say it's been some time and I needed to post a review on these little gems. I know a lot of you may say it's overkill, but I only choose the finest of parts especially when it means keeping what drives my car, on my car lol. Chad and the rest of the boys at CBRD SpeedFactory are undeniably the most upstanding gentlemen I've ever dealt business with.
Lets rewind a couple months ago when Chad had first insinuated that he was working on a cheaper/superior alternative to the current Ti lug nut aftermarket. Upon reading this, I immediately knew that these goodies and my car were a match made in heaven. I PM'ed Chad and he promptly replied back with a very generous price shipped to me in Chicago. Unfortunately, before I could hit the "send" button in my paypal, my conscience kicked in and reminded me that I should wait on the purchase due to upcoming priorities.
Some time later, I decided to ahead with my long anticipated purchase. I resent Chad a PM about his Ti lugs and much to my dismay, costs for Titanium and production had apparently increased. Even so, Chad was kind enough to honor his initial price quoted a few weeks prior to and took my order for set #3 in the WORLD, (#1 being their own T/A car), and send me a tracking number.
THREE DAYS after I had placed my order, the jolly man in the big brown truck had knocked on front door with the package -I was amazed as how long it actually took to get to my door. I opened up the undeniably feather-light video mail package these lugs came in and I thought to myself, the contents of this box and how well it was packaged...was I was being invited to join an elite secret society? Apparently; Chad had sent a personal greeting card with a short hand-written message & a sleek CBRD business card affixed to it . I am now 1 of 3 crazy people in the world who needs/wants something of this nature; sure does sound elite, lol.
Onto to the little glorified pieces of metal in my hand; they were LIGHT. WOW, amazingly, disturbingly LIGHT. I could not believe how much they actually weighed when holding (20) OEM lug nuts in one hand vs (20) of these Ti counterparts in my other.
(Quoted by Shhhh, who actually weighed them:
Stock: 2.1 oz * 20 = 42 oz
CBRD: .58 oz * 20 = 11.6 oz
Savings: 30.4 oz or 1.9 lb total (.475 lb per wheel/tire))
Examining them closer revealed that each lug nut was individually stamped with a CBRD insignia as well as "85ft/lbs" along the side. Amazing at how precise and detailed each lug was in the design process.
In the end, I'm definitely, utterly pleased with my purchase; everything from the initial request for price quote to the honoring of it later, to the ordering and shipping process, to final packaging and delivery. I cannot express how well these guys run a business. A+++ for you boys over there at the SpeedFactory, thanks for an amazing product. I will be proudly ROCKING these for a LONG time

2 pounds of unsprung weight is a significant improvement. Period.
No wheel lock... since they were designed originally for our time attack car, a lock wasn't our number one concern. Weight and strength were.
