yes...if you're going just for looks. I will not be pushing anywhere near 1000whp so the non-cdi is perfect for my ultimate power goals.

I will probably spend the extra cash and get the CDI system. Ultimate power goals is around 800awhp, and I believe your non-CDI system is recommended for cars making under 650awhp.

sspaladin28 didn't mean to thread jack

Sevoix......You are correct if your goals are 800awhp any of our cdi based units would be the best option.

Just slapped one of Craig's no cdi units on my car. Ran around with it on stock ecu for about a week and wow, he's really on the money when he says that the car should have come with this type of setup from the factory. I honestly think more people would have kept these vehicles as long term transportation if they realized driveability potential to be had...

Also I'm running Denso IKH24's at .027 gap in my IX engine with this set up seeing NO blowout or misses at any kind all the way to 28 psi.

With getting rid of the junk stock ecu you really can't imagine how well this cop compliments the aem ems too. I have seriously never known an evo to drive as smooth as mine does now Let's not forget of course the role proper tuning plays in all of this as well
