Seems like a well setup stock-turbo'd IX will make 370-375whp/345-355wtq on your dyno, am I right? So we're looking at roughly 20-25whp gains from 4000+ over the stock turbo. Not bad, especially considering the top-end.

Exactly except most of those well setup cars are having to run the crap outta their turbos , I.E. to get this same power on a 9 the car from kentucky was running E-85 and maxing out the 9 turbo completely ,,
It should also be mentioned that at 22 psi my car laid down 376,, It has more in it ,, I run a ton of lapping days and auto-x so i kept reminding corey to back off the tune a little and keep it conservative.

Well how much was left on the table, any idea how much timing you were running? Taking out about 2° of timing across the board after a good tune pulls power back about 10whp and puts things into the safe zone. You could pull out another 1-2° for extra safety. Any idea how much timing its running at 5000 and 7000 respectively?

Here is a *EXTREMELY ROUGH* overlay comparing your setup to a similarly setup stock turbo'd IX:

This car was running about 25psi on ecu-controlled boost and he was having some inconsistency on boost onset, so that's why the low end goes up/down a bit, but it's not that far off from a mbc setup. Also this car has ported stock exhaust mani vs your megan, FP 4R cams vs your S1's. Main difference is FMIC, this car was on the stock FMIC and UICP still at this point. This plot is from October 2008 at our fall dyno day. Both are SAE correction.

Chris,

Just wanted to make sure you know that those numbers were on pump gas. E85 EVO 9's make roughly the same power maxing out the turbo. Pump gas, full bolt on evo with HKS cams put 345 on our dyno, with almost 30psi.

Yessir, these are all pump gas charts.

Pump gas only for me! That chart was made with 92-octane BP Ultimate. The most my car has ever made on your dyno (pump gas & stock IX turbo) is 383whp @ 25psi. I know its good for more now that I've got a MBC back on and have been retuned.

At 7k its only at 10 degrees
5k 4 degrees i think
It made that power at those settings it didnt get pulled back after laying down those numbers ,
the biggest loss in my mind is way down low at the track there are times when i lug it in fourth or even short shift fifth a little and he was nice and conservative down there in the full spool section as well ,, not good for dyno numbers but great for keeping my stock block perfectly intact under any circumstance

Got the new turbo today. There were no studs with it so I gotta get some before I can install it. :/ The porting on it is very nice & was worth the wait. Heres the pics. enjoy.

Very nice coating/porting, Bob does great work! You're not supposed to use studs with it though, rather, for easier installation, use 4 bolts.

It looks like its threaded for studs though.

...yeah, bolts use threads too Rather than 2 bolts and 2 studs like stock, just use 4 bolts. I'll make installation and removal of the exhaust manifold a lot easier.
