I still haven't put in the AMSOIL Brake Fluid - headed to Watkins Glen in a few weeks.
As far as Raybestos - Ran NJMP in VERY high temps, no Fade Rotor friendly and last a LONG time. I don't *****-foot around - you can ask the other TTS folks. Maybe the difference being a much lighter car - 3,227lbs. with me and alot of gas

If you have a pad you like - I say stick with it! Brakes are a scary thing to 'test' new options out with if your driving > 7/10's imo. That's mainly why I've stuck with the same pads since the beginning of 09.
Now when I was boiling fluid (Motul)... that had to stop! lol.

3227 vs 3280 - that's not much difference in weight!

liked getting to read this thread, its things like this that actually get me to look seriously at one product over another. people running these things full out, with experience on different products.
plus my brakes are coming due sometime this year....

You guys probably know, but others need to be aware that a stickier wider tire will build up a lot lot more heat throughout the setup. Fluid & cooling is important here.

Ah... the joys of living in the midwest - it was easily 90+ with humidity last Saturday at the track. But with AMSOIL DOT4 in the car to help the brakes handle the heat; no worries.
I instructed last weekend and heard a lot of stuff around the paddock about brakes melting, soft pedals and fluid boiling. No problems here! Heck, I'm not even planning to bleed the brakes prior to my next trackday!
Love this AMSOIL DOT4 stuff. It's really low maintenance. At the same track last year when I was running Motul I boiled my fluid twice and therefore had to do a full flush of the system twice AT the track - then another hefty bleed each time after I got home. No more...

^^ Went back to Autobahn S again this past weekend. Brutal temps once again, I think even hotter.
Prior to the event I.... did NOTHING with the brakes. I didn't even bleed them as I felt no change in the pedal pressure throughout the last 3 event days.
And, just like I thought, everything performed flawlessly! I was punishing the brakes too, using threshold braking several times on the back straight from 116 - 45mph as it was the greasiest part of the track and the car even wiggled left/right for traction as it tried to slow down!
Pic from the pits:

After 2 hard weekends, I bled the brakes last night. Did not see any air bubbles release at all but wanted to be on the safe side. Pedal still feels rock-hard which is the way I like it.
Evo is loaded back up and ready to head to the next event.
AMSOIL = low maintenance!

I have 8 days of competition on my front pads now. I have bled the fluid exactly once during that timeframe just to check for air bubbles and to be safe; but did not see any at all.
I am getting close to needing new front rotors though; they currently have 12 days of competition on them. I'll pull the wheels this week and give everything a good check-over and post up some wear-n-tear pics but here's a quickie:
AMSOIL DOT4 working great!
