I tried launchin with my evo 9 mr.. The first time went I popped the clutch real fast but it didn't really work second time I tried it I eased off the clutch nd I got a better launch and my rev limiter is set to 5k wat I'm tryin to find out is If I were to bring the rev limiter higher will I be able to just to poop the clutch or no

evo ix's have a 1 st gear launch control as well as the pill. You can have your ecu modified to raise the limit from 5K pretty, easily from what i hear. Dropping the clutch is somewhat protected by the pill which slows engagement of the clutch.

The launch method for a stock ix (afaik) is to hold it to the floor and quick release the clutch. If you feather out the clutch with a pill you have a higher chance of smoking the clutch.

if you remove the pill and bump the rev limiter on launch your warranty is pretty much over....
